Savage Henry Reviews New Die Geister Album!
"The new album from Die Geister Beschworen, Drawn To The Investigation Of Shadows, is a psychedelic experiment that somehow feels both intimate and cold. It made me think of being high in a grandma's living room, trying to hold it together but continually drifting into a distorted dream land. It is an abstract, oddly folksy soundscape featuring many instruments, voices and ambient samples. It is at times jarring, and being less than 40 minutes, it is easy to listen to a few times over. It drew me in, made me curious and in the moments when I felt comfortable I was soon pulled from that musty armchair into a mysterious desert. Although definitely not an easy listening, the album is successful as an experiment in Sound..."
